Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole
1 1/2 Tbsp marg
3 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups milk
3-4 Tbsp dry ranch dressing mix
1/4 to 1/2 tsp white pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 1/4 lbs fresh green beans cooked til tender
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs toasted
Make a white sauce by melting butter in small saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour;cook for 1-2 minutes stirring constantly, add in milk and with a whisk stir while bringing to a boil until thickened. Stir in dressing mix and pepper. Set aside.
Fry onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Cut in half and set one half aside. Add mushrooms to remaining onions and cook until mushrooms are tender. Combine, mushrooms, beans and white sauce in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Combine bread crumbs with remaining onions and sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered, until heated through, about 20-30 minutes.
