Mushroom Soup Rice, Parmesan Orzo, Sunday Dinner Mashed Potatoes

Mushroom Soup Rice

1 can instant rice

1 can mushroom soup

1can water

(double or triple)

Put in oven 350 for 30 mins.



A side dish you can walk away from or get your preteens to make. Also add extra mushrooms or peppers. Whatever you like Actually I have thrown in sausage with this to serve as a supper dish too not just a side



Serve with raw veggies and dip



Parmesan Orzo
3 Tbsp marg
1 1/2 cup orzo
1/2 cup parm cheese
1 1/2 Tbsp basil
3 cups chicken broth

Sautee margarine and orzo for 2 minutes. Add broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer covered for 20 minutes. Mix in cheese and Basil. Serve immediately.

**have been making this recipe for years and they are a family favorite for my whole family. Often what we have for Easter or birthdays.


Sunday Dinner Mashed Potatoes
5 pounds potatoes, peeled
1 cup sour cream
2 3oz. pkgs soft cream cheese
3 Tbsp butter, divided
1 tsp each salt and onion salt
1/4 tsp pepper

1. Boil potatoes until tender. Drain well.
2. In a large bowl mash potatoes, add sour cream, cream cheese, 2 Tbsp butter, salt, onion salt and pepper. Beat til fluffy. Transfer to a greased 2qt baking dish. Dot with remaining butter. Bake at 350 uncovered for 25 minutes until heated through.
